Hi! I’m Kortni, coming to you from Master Provisions with some Good News from this past month.

To start, Landon wrapped up his time with us last week. For the past two months, Landon has served as an intern through our His Heroes program. We have loved having him on the team! During his internship, Landon focused on learning how to operate warehouse equipment like manual pallet jacks and floor scrubbers. He had opportunities to organize inventory, prepare product for distribution, setup and lead a variety of warehouse projects, and work collaboratively with the team. If you know of job opportunity leads for our interns with special needs to explore when they graduate from our program, email abby@masterprovisions.org. Thanks again for all your hard work, Landon - we will miss you!

If you haven’t noticed, Master Provisions got a fresh new look this month. While our style has changed, our purpose remains the same: to model the compassion of Jesus and work toward a hunger-free tristate. Every detail of our new look is filled with meaning:MP Logo with Tagline

The cross at the center represents our foundation of faith in Jesus.

The “MP” brandmark brings clarity — reflecting what so many supporters already call us.

The storehouse imagery reminds us of God’s provision—meeting needs today and storing hope for tomorrow.

Master Provisions is more than a name. It’s a mission built on collaboration, compassion, and faith. Together, we’re making a life-changing impact by providing food, essentials, and hope to those who need it most. We hope you love the new look!

Before you go, let's consider Matthew 25:35-40 together.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?  When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:35-40 (NIV)

These words are actually spoken by Jesus in the Bible. He is equating serving the marginalized members of society with serving Jesus himself. By serving others, we are serving the Lord. Jesus is teaching people just how important acts of compassion and kindness towards others are in His Kingdom.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes the sheer amount of work that needs to be done can paralyze me from wanting to even start. Our world is broken and hurting in an overwhelming way. But Jesus reminds us here that it’s a lot simpler than we make it sometimes. Taking small steps, caring enough to try to help, and not being willing to stand by and watch people struggle without doing something? All of it is better than doing nothing because it’s too hard. He knows our hearts, and He knows our limits. Don’t be afraid to take action – He can take a small step like feeding one hungry person or giving a few dollars and grow it into a whole movement. He can solve the problems that are too big for us to take on ourselves. All we have to do is trust Him.

Thanks for keeping up with our Good News - Hope to see you around the food center soon!
