Viral Patel

Viral Patel is a physician and executive with extensive experience in healthcare operations, quality improvement, and clinical transformation. Currently serving as Chief Transformation Officer for Primary Care at St. Elizabeth Physicians since April 2022, he works closely with the Clinical Transformation department to drive process change and develop innovative solutions using automation, technology, and personnel.

Previously, he was the Assistant Vice President of Primary Care at St. Elizabeth Physicians, where he oversaw executive operations and clinical functions for approximately 650 associates and 275 providers across 60 locations. During his tenure, he led the growth of the Primary Care division to become the largest division in the organization and developed new service lines, such as Urgent Care, Concierge Complete, Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, and Natural Procreative Technology.

Patel has also served in several leadership roles at St. Elizabeth Healthcare since 2011 and has been involved in various boards and committees. He holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Transylvania University. He also completed a Physician Executive MBA from the University of Tennessee and attended the Harvard Business School Clay Christensen Course on Disruptive Strategy in 2019.
