Nick Kaufman

Nick is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University (NKU) and holds BS degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. He joined The Kroger Co. in September, 1985 immediately after graduating from NKU. Throughout his thirty-four year career in the Kroger Technology Department, Nick held a variety of technical and management positions.

In 2007, he was promoted to Vice President, Kroger Technology and held this position until his retirement in February, 2019. Technology areas of concentration include Supply Chain, Merchandising, e-Commerce, Finance, Store Operations, HR, Payroll, Data Management, Compliance and Manufacturing.

A member of the “Big Brother/Big Sister Program”, Nick was paired with a little brother for 10+ years. Nick is also a graduate of United Way’s Volunteer Leadership Development Program. He served as Kroger’s Executive Liaison to Northern Kentucky University and served on the College of Informatics Dean’s Advisory Board for 10 years.

In 2008 Nick was awarded the “Outstanding Alumnus – NKU College of Informatics”. Nick and his wife Kathy have been married for 35 years. They have two sons; Kenny is an engineer with General Electric and Brian is an analyst/programmer with a Washington DC consulting firm. There are also two grandchildren. Nick and Kathy are active members of St. Ignatius Church in Cincinnati and have been involved in a wide variety of charitable organizations over the past 35 years. Nick has been on the Master Provisions board for 2 years and is also a member of the Operations Committee.
