This month Chick-fil-A Mall Road and Union Promenade locations hosted a food drive to benefit Master Provisions, and we were blown away by the community support. We raised almost $2000 and nearly 100 boxes of pancake mix to share with hungry people across the tristate. Thank you to our incredible friends at Chick-fil-A who made this event possible through their commitment to giving back and making a difference!
Northern Kentucky University and Meijer just announced their "Threes for Hunger" initiative. This season, Meijer will make a donation to MP for every NKU Men's Basketball three-pointer made. Norse up!
Lots of fun events are coming up, including the Road Trip Market (this weekend!) and Master Provisions' very first mystery dinner. Get all the details and register to attend at the links below.

Student Days started back up this month! The 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 3-5pm, MP plans student-specific projects for kids to get service hours. We had seven middle and high school boys from Turkeyfoot, Ryle, St. Henry, and Community Christian serve with us. They helped repackage masa flour into 5 pound bags to go to our friends at FIESTA for their monthly outreach. So excited to have these students back in our Serve Center!

Lloyd & Beechwood sent the first His Heroes groups of the school year this month. Beechwood processed candy donations to share with organizations who serve kids and families, and Lloyd Memorial sorted sweet potatoes and bread for freshness. We absolutely love serving alongside these groups!
Flottweg also sent an amazing corporate group who spent their work day dicing up fruit to provide a fruit salad from MP at The Royal Prom. If you haven't been before, Royal Prom is an annual night of dancing put on by NKY Young Life Capernaum for students and young adults with disabilities. Thankful to get to play a small part in such an amazing event!

So many fun events are coming up, and it reminds us of God's call to choose joy in every circumstance. When we take time to have fun and celebrate together, joy comes easily. In the laid-back, happy times in life, we are joyful without even thinking about it. But in the harder seasons, it's a much more intentional practice.
It's a reminder that happiness is tied to what's happening around us, but joy comes from deep within us as a response to God's inherent goodness. As Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us, "the joy of the Lord is your strength". Choosing joy doesn't mean we won't have pain and sorrow, but it does mean we won't let that pain define us or our lives. This month, join us in focusing on gratitude and joy when we feel life getting the better of us. The ripple effects in our lives and the lives of those we interact with will be obvious!
"So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun." Ecclesiastes 8:15 (NIV)

God bless you. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We are so grateful God chooses to use each of us to be part of the work He is doing across the tristate!
