August 2026 - Good News

We were blessed to raise nearly $70K at this year's 25th annual Larry Nelson Master Pro Golf Classic. Thank you again to everyone who sponsored or golfed in the event! We had a great time and will be able to make a huge impact with the funds raised!

We also wrapped up Make-a-Will Month with a great Legacy Session last week. If you missed it and still need help with your will, save the date for our virtual event coming up January 20th. More details coming soon!

In addition to our amazing weekly volunteers, we have gotten to host some great groups in August. Corporate groups from Heritage Bank, Dean Dorton, Orthodontic Specialists, Dry Ridge Christian, and Northwestern Mutual served in our resource center helping prepare food to go out to people in need across the tristate.

Buffalo Bob's Family Restaurant blessed our volunteers with a meal, and we were able to celebrate our check-out volunteers this month, as well. We are so grateful for the incredible volunteers who make it possible for us to continue to serve our communities!

We have welcomed several new food partner agencies this month. Once they are onboarded, each of our nonprofit partners put their location sticker on our map. It's so fun to see how far God is spreading the resources that come through our doors to meet the needs of His people across the tristate!

We welcomed Grace, our newest His Heroes intern, to Master Provisions in August! She has been doing an amazing job at our front desk and learning the check out process. One day she hopes to work at a smoothie or flower shop!

Many of our volunteers, agency partners, and friends have been struggling lately. Sickness, surgeries, financial hardship, loss... it has been a heavy month. Psalm 46:1 is a comfort to our weary souls as we navigate hard seasons. It reminds us that God is our safe place when everything feels out of control. When we are weak, He gives us His power. What a blessing to be reminded that He stays close to us even in the middle of trouble. Lord, help us to rest in your peace as we take on whatever the world may throw at us this month. Thank you for being strong enough to carry us when the weight is more than we can bear on our own.
