Hi! I’m Guy, Managing Director here at Master Provisions. I’m coming to you from the site of our new facility with July’s Good News!

As you can see, construction is in full swing here on Toebben Drive. Concrete has been poured, and steel has been going up all month. In the next few months, we expect to see data wiring going in, exterior signage installed, and our cooler/freezer and racking systems put in place. Be praying for God’s hand on the entire process and for the lives that will be impacted within these walls.

In other good news, we were able to purchase the last of four new trailers thanks to funding from Kenton County’s ARPA grant. These will bring our fleet up to date with brand new trailers, allow us to increase overflow storage capacity, and increase our ability to pick up large refrigerated donations.

We were also so excited to host our friends from Macomb Christian Church in Michigan this month. They have been long-time supporters of Master Provisions, making the trek to Northern Kentucky with a large group of all ages ready to serve annually for many years now. Thank you for your commitment to serving God by connecting resources to needs!

Thursday, August 7th at Smale Riverfront Park, join us for a free concert at Rockin’ the Roebling. From 6-10pm, enjoy live music from The Menus. Stop by and say hello to John while you’re there, because Master Provisions will be the featured nonprofit that night!

As we stand here in front of this new structure it’s hard to ignore what God is doing and how it relates to His works in our lives.  There is a great verse that reminds us of this.  It says:

“According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it.  For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”  1 Corinthians 3: 10-11

This verse reminds us that any work we undertake, even something as tangible as constructing a building, is ultimately in God’s hands. It challenges us to check our motives, depend on Him throughout the process, and recognize that success is not just measured in concrete and steel, but in spiritual obedience and purpose.  How are you doing today building on the foundation that Jesus has laid in your life?  Be encouraged that as you follow Him, He is at work in you building something great!
