I’m Kortni, the Marketing and Communications Manager over at Master Provisions, and I’m so excited to share some of the amazing work that’s been happening behind the scenes at MP this past month!

For our nonprofit partners, we are updating our records and trying to make sure we have accurate and complete information on file. We want to be the best partners possible and support you in the most beneficial ways.

You should have received a survey earlier this week from Guy.

Please let us know if you didn’t receive that email – it’s critical that each of our active partners fills that out for us in the next month!

We got the opportunity to serve together as a staff at Matthew 25 Ministries this week. We prepared 2,353 pairs of compression socks to go out to their partners. They were incredible hosts, and we had a great time getting to give back and spend some time together as a team!

One of the most fun parts of August and September is seeing more students around the Food Center. We have started up Student Days again, giving high school and college students consistent opportunities to earn service hours on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month. If you’re interested in volunteering during Student Days, sign up on the Volunteer page of the website. We also have tons of school groups coming in to serve together. Just this week St. Henry’s soccer team volunteered, and Beechwood’s Gifted and Talented program is joining us tomorrow. Our 14 His Heroes partners are also all fully back in the swing of the school year, sending groups of students with special needs in to learn life and social skills while volunteering in the warehouse. We get so excited to see so many young people with hearts to serve!

For those of you who participated in our Larry Nelson Master Pro Golf Classic this year, THANK YOU! The event raised over $75,000 for Master Provisions which makes a world of difference in our ability to meet the needs of our community. If you couldn’t make it to the golf outing but want to support MP’s mission, your next chance is at our 11th annual MPower Lunch! Coming up October 21st at 11:30, join us for a delicious meal at St. Elizabeth’s Training and Education Center. The event also provides an opportunity for businesses and organizations to partner with and sponsor our largest fundraiser of the year. Good News - Master Provisions

Before you go, let me share a bit of encouragement from a verse the MP staff highlighted this week. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:16

If you’re anything like me, it’s easy to look at your to-do list and start feeling overwhelmed pretty quickly. We can put so much pressure on ourselves that anxiety starts to creep in. How will I get it all done? What if I miss something or mess something up? What if I fail? This verse is such a blessing, because it reminds us to just let go, pray, and trust God with our lives. He wants the best for us. He loves us. And He won’t forsake us, especially during trials and overwhelming seasons of our lives.

We are so grateful for your continued support and prayers for Master Provisions. We hope to see you around MP soon!
