Mann Up vs. Poverty 2016

On Saturday, April 30, MP partnered with Mann Elementary for Mann Up vs. Poverty. 3 students & their moms, Cindy O’Hara and MP President, Roger Babik, traveled to Jackson, KY. This area in Breathitt Co. is one of the 5 poorest counties in the US- based on median income.
We worked with the Happy Church. The team worked with 10 students from Breathitt Co. They supervised 30 minutes of reading activities, gave gifts of shoes collected by fellow students at Mann (each child received at least one pair of good, used shoes), shared a meal, and engaged in a 30 minute educational session about poverty in SE Kentucky.

MPower Lunch 2015

MPower Lunch 2015 was an amazing success! Many thanks to guest speaker Chuck Mingo of Crossroads for his inspirational message and to Local 12’s own Liz Bonis, who was the event’s wonderful emcee.

With the help of a generous donor who offered a matching gift at the lunch, MPower far exceeded its fundraising goal of $50,000!

The luncheon was November 10, 2015 at The Grand in Covington. A crowd of 250 guests heard Chuck speak about strengthening our hand in God, as well as testimonials from those who receive food, clothing or orphan care through the work of Master Provisions

Thanks to all who attended for their generous gifts and to the 24 event sponsors whose support will be recognized throughout the coming year with a banner hanging in the MP warehouse.
