United States: Food Distribution

In November 2012, Master Provisions added a local ministry outreach by facilitating food distribution to area non-profit organizations. We received our first truckload of food on November 20th to assist two local outreach partners.

By July 1, 2013, over 50,000 pounds of food was moving through our warehouse each week. Various businesses began contacting us to donate large quantities of nutritious food items, including fresh produce and baked goods. MP now supplies goods to over 150 hunger-relief organizations in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Through these non-profit partners, Master Provisions helps feed an average of 35,000 people per month.

Master Provisions also supports two mobile food pantries on the last Saturday of each month in partnership with Isaiah House. The Covington, KY outreach is held at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, while the Ludlow event takes place at the Ludlow Veterans Center. Each event engages over 200 volunteers in the hunger-relief effort and serves an average of 600 families in need. We also supply food for monthly mobile pantries in Southeast Kentucky towns such as Jackson, Myra and Harlan.
