Our Mission

Master Provisions is a faith-based organization that provides food, clothing and orphan care in the U.S. and around the world.

We work in conjunction with mission partners, connecting them with vital resources so they can directly serve people in need. In all we do, we seek to bring the love of Christ, meeting both physical and spiritual needs.

Our Story

MP Began with Clothing . . .

MASTER Provisions began in 1994 by shipping donated used clothing to people in Ukraine. It became apparent that the people there also needed jobs. MP responded by setting up clothing shops that created jobs and provided affordable clothing. MP now ships clothing and shoes to several countries, as well as to agencies in the US. Here, our mission partners request winter clothing; overseas most of the need is for light-weight clothing and shoes.

And Added Orphan Care

The political unrest in Ukraine led to large numbers of orphans, living either on the streets or in state-run orphanages. MP partners with My Home which places these children with local Christian families, either through adoption or foster care. MP recruits financial sponsors whose gifts go in their entirety to support these families so that children are cared for in a loving home, in their own culture. MP also supports orphans in Togo through a partnership with Medical Ambassadors.

For most of its first 20 years, Master Provisions was primarily an international ministry.

And Then a Local Food Outreach Program

In 2014, MASTER Provisions began providing food to hunger relief agencies that serve the Tri-State region of Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southwest Indiana. MP rescues high quality, fresh food that would otherwise go to waste, stores and manages it safely, and makes those goods available to its food partner agencies. MP also provides food and logistical support for the Last Saturday Mobile Food Pantry, in both Covington and Ludlow. The food outreach is now the largest of MP’s mission activities.

Because People Have Value

Master Provisions does this work, not just because surplus food and used clothing still have value, but because we believe people have value.

Thousands of volunteers serve at Master Provisions each year and accomplish most of MP’s mission activities with leadership from MP’s small staff. Individuals of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life serve side by side at MP.
