Good News Update for September 2023

Hey Master Provisions friends and family!

It’s Travis Nipper here with this month’s Good News!

We were blessed to meet with six new food partners in the month of August! It’s a sign of the miracle of growth…and with that, I’m excited to share that we are now working with 263 food partner agencies in the tristate and beyond.

Right here in our own backyard, we had the opportunity to meet with Boone County Family Resource Coordinators from Miles, Yaley, Collins, and Florence Elementary schools. The Coordinators shared with us how much our partnership will benefit their students who are experiencing food insecurity.

It’s been a busy few weeks in the warehouse as we welcomed tons of groups.

There was a group called Casual Conversation, which is a homeschool group that came in to help their children understand about the needs in the world. The kids helped sort food and clothing and also helped us load a  container heading to Mexico.

Our great partner, St Elizabeth Health Care, helped us prepare for our monthly outreach by preparing  products for families in need.

Christian Church Leadership Foundation also helped us prepare for our monthly outreach and were even kind enough to bring along lunch from Cracker Barrel for staff and volunteers.

Amazon Air came through and busted out more products for outreach. And finally, Shane and Guy went to Plum Creek and hosted a clothing pack.  70 volunteers knocked out 61 big bags of clothing which will help 3,050 people.

We want to give a shout out to Tergina Sheppard! Tergina has 3,217 lifetime hours. She serves faithfully every outreach week, even bringing in her grand kids to help when they are available.

We loaded the first container MP has sent to our partners in Guadalajara, Mexico! This container should arrive in early October and will provide clothing and shoes to be used both for the ministry and creating small family businesses.

You’ll be happy to know, we officially set dates for our El Salvador trip next year! Mark June 1st through 8th, 2024 on your calendar. MP will be taking a team to San Marcelino, El Salvador to partner with Emerge Global. It is a great opportunity to love God’s people and see what long-term missions look like. We are hoping to host soccer and a softball camp while there. If you have interest, please reach out to Ben as there are more details coming soon.

Lastly, Master Provisions is working on developing a deeper partnership with our partners in Ukraine. Please continue to pray for safety over the team there and if you would like to know more or support their efforts, please reach out.

September marks the launch of the public phase of our Further The MPact Capital Campaign.

Two big events are approaching in October that are key to blessing our community and our mission. Our 22nd Annual Larry Nelson Master Pro Golf Classic  is Monday, October 16, 2023 at Triple Crown Country Club in Union, Kentucky. All our foursomes are spoken for, but we still have sponsorships available.

The same goes for our 10th Annual MPower Lunch on Monday October 30th. Plenty of opportunities to share your blessings with those in need by supporting the lunch. We will be back at SETEC this year with Carri Chandler as Emcee, David Vaughan as our Keynote, so there should be a huge crowd in attendance. It’s free to attend!

Nikki and Hannah have been hard at work and any day now we will be launching a new website, so keep an eye out for that.

Lastly, if you do nothing else today, join our monthly recurring gift program called 1994 Connects. Your neighbors…and you may not ever realize they are your neighbors, but neighbors right here Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area are in need. Just $19.94 a month can help up to 100 of your neighbors. Join today by clicking the button below.
