Great News-Construction on the Nelson SAVE Center began October 17th

The 2015 and 2016 Larry Nelson Master Pro Golf Classics plus funeral memorial gifts generated funding needed to complete construction. Thank you again for your generous support.

Century Construction won the bid and their goal is to complete basic construction by the end of the year.  The 1,535 SF addition provides work and training space, meeting space, break room/kitchenette, additional storage and a mezzanine level with additional work and storage space and an operations office.  The climate controlled center will be a hub for daily volunteer service and learning activities at MP.  Schools, businesses, churches, individuals and various community groups will use the center regularly to serve with MP and hold meetings while learning about the food, clothing and orphan care outreaches of MP that help over 35,000 under resourced people each month.  Activities at the center will include sorting and packing of food and clothing, meal preparation, classroom-type instruction for regular and special needs students, various light assembly tasks, business team-building sessions followed by group volunteer activities, intern life skill development programs, preparation for monthly Last Saturday mobile food pantries to assist over 600 families each month in Ludlow and Covington, church adult/youth/family service activities, etc.  Volunteers will be greeted with informative and engaging video presentations powered by and displayed on

The welcoming facility will include a tribute to Larry Nelson. Thousands of volunteers will use the SAVE Center each year, including people from diverse social and economic backgrounds and ethnicities.
